Manor Royal Business District is celebrating the success of two major Expo’s that took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Crawley on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 May. The annual ‘Know your Neighbour’ event, exclusive to Manor Royal companies, welcomed a record number of exhibitors and businesses.  This was complemented by the inaugural ‘Manor Royal Careers Expo’ the following day, which provided free work and training advice to local residents.  Over 110 companies reached out to more than 580 people over the two days.

This year's keynote networking event of the year on Manor Royal - the Know Your Neighbour Expo - is set to be the largest ever held on the business district.  It's a full house with 73 companies exhibiting at the event and more than 280 people registered to attend the free event.

Crawley STEMfest was officially launched on Manor Royal recently with a raucous evening of comedy and inspiring talks.  Representatives from local industry and education attended the event at the new Elekta Cornerstone building on the Manor Royal Estate. An innovative space fitting for the launch of a STEMfest looking to inspire the next generation to pursue science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) careers through hands-on workshops, shows and demonstrations throughout May and June.

For many years Virgin has worked hard to reduce their catering waste. For example, they have removed 217,524 disposable hot drink cups per year from their waste by replacing them with china cups.  More recently, Virgin has been working with their catering team to see how they can reduce plastic disposables and become more sustainable in their approach to providing catering services to their staff and visitors.
