Planned roadworks for London Road
Work is due to commence this month to refurbish signals equipment at the junction of London Road and Manor Royal Road, following damage resulting from a number of road traffic accidents at the site.
West Sussex County Council have announced that they will use the opportunity to perform further maintenance at the other junctions on London Road. These improvements have been identified as part of the council's maintenance programme and include the requirement to improve the co-ordination and operation of the three junctions.
The work will include installation of new loops for better vehicle detection and installation of microprocessor optimised vehicle actuation (MOVA) equipment for improved signal reactions.
Work on the scheme will start in the week commencing July 14th (subject to current A23 road restrictions being removed) and will continue for approximately six weeks, depending upon the weather.
If you have any queries regarding the above works, you are asked to contact Stephen Found or Barry Edmunds on 01243 64210501243 642105. For more information on the planned works, you can read the original announcement here.
