Food bank challenge

Food bank challenge

Doosan Babcock, based in the Crawley Business Quarter, is supporting the Crawley Food Collective in September.

The company has set itself the goal of collecting two tonnes to donate to their local food bank, located on Manor Royal, in support of its day of community service on Monday 14 September.

The project is run by Crawley Community and Voluntary Service and operates to feed those most in need throughout the Crawley area. This project helps a wide variety of charities, including the homeless, families in crisis and isolated older people.

Any Manor Royal business wishing to put a food collection box within their office are being encouraged to call Steve Brackfield on 01293 584876.

They are looking for milk (UHT or powdered), sugar (500g), fruit juice (carton), soup, pasta sauces, sponge pudding (tinned), tomatoes (tinned), cereals, rice pudding (tinned), tea bags/instant coffee, instant mash potato, rice/pasta, tinned meat/fish, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, jam, and biscuits or snack bars.
