New Digital Advertising Screens on Manor Royal
Large digital advertising screens have been installed in Manor Royal to help promote local trade and build an even stronger business community. The project is the latest initiative delivered by Manor Royal BID to improve infrastructure on the popular business location in Crawley, West Sussex.
There have been digital screens installed at four prominent locations around Manor Royal, with plans to add more if there is demand.
With over 600 companies and 30,000 employees located on Manor Royal, more than 24 million vehicles pass through or visit the business district each year, in addition to those who walk or cycle to the area. Thanks to the Manor Royal BID, there is now an opportunity for businesses to advertise their products and services to all these people passing by.
Additionally, the BID and its partners will use the signs to communicate important community messages relating to transport, safety and other issues relevant to daily life in Manor Royal.
Steve Sawyer, Executive Director of the Manor Royal BID said: "Manor Royal is West Sussex's premier business location with significant traffic and footfall, but until now, there has been no way of taking advantage of that. By installing these screens, not only can local businesses benefit, but we can also more easily relay important messages to people working here."
The digital signage project was conceived by the Manor Royal BID and will be delivered and managed for the BID by Manor Royal based Avensys Ltd, an award-winning audio-visual company serving commercial and retail customers.
Markus Wood, Managing Director of Avensys said: "We are delighted to manage the digital signage for the Manor Royal BID. As a local company, we can see the advantages these new signs will bring in helping to boost local trade and support the business community. As such, we look forward to hearing from anyone wishing to book advertising space on the new screens."
The project also received the support of the Crawley Growth Programme, a town-wide investment programme involving public and private partners including Crawley Borough Council, West Sussex County Council and the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership.
Duncan Barratt, the county council's Strategic Manager, Economy, said: "The Crawley Growth Programme is being delivered through significant investment by West Sussex County Council and partners. The digital screens project is one of a number that will be delivered in Manor Royal which is a key driver for growth in the county.
"The Crawley Growth Programme is also supporting a number of town centre projects, including the works in Queensway that are currently under construction."
Jonathan Sharrock, Chief Executive at Coast to Capital LEP said: "A thriving community of businesses is crucial to the success of our towns and cities and Manor Royal is an outstanding example of a business improvement district which contributes significantly to the local economy. Maintaining the professional look and feel of the district sets the tone for the high standard of work which takes place and the new digital screens will provide opportunities for local businesses. We look forward to working with Manor Royal on future projects."
