B&CE makes Sunday Times' top 100 not-for-profit companies list
Financial services company B&CE, provider of The People's Pension, has landed a coveted place on the Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit companies to work for list for the first time.
The company, based on Manor Royal, has been placed ahead of 57 other top ranking businesses at number 43. The list recognises the best employers in the UK based on an extensive anonymous survey of the people who know their employer best - their staff.
The survey looks at leadership and management, staff wellbeing, satisfaction with pay and benefits, personal growth, and how people feel about the team they work with and the company as a whole.
The Sunday Times magazine recognised B&CE for rewarding staff for achieving industry qualifications, running an extensive training and development programme for staff, and for prioritising team building charity and social activities. Staff said they had fun with their colleagues (87% positive, seventh among mid-size organisations) and go out of their way to help each other (80%).
Patrick Heath-Lay, Chief Executive Officer of B&CE, said: "Our staff are our greatest asset and we pride ourselves on putting people first, so we're delighted to have achieved a top 50 placing at the first time of trying, and even more delighted that we're on the list because of how our staff feel about us as an employer. I believe it is our culture and values as a not-for-profit that sets us apart from other financial services firms.
"As a fast growing business, we're always looking for bright new faces to join us. Vacancies can be found on our website, so get in touch. We'll keep working hard to achieve a higher placing next year."
