Wayfinding and signage: near completion
The wayfinding and signage project is almost complete. All the map boards, new colour coded street name signs, large traffic welcome monoliths, bespoke vertical road stands and lamp post banners have been manufactured and 95% installed. There are two large welcome monoliths to be installed in June, the last of the banners to be installed in May and the existing monoliths outside Thales on Manor Royal road and on the James Watt Way roundabout will be re-wrapped. Our thanks to DesignJD (sign consultants), Fastsigns (who produced the banners) and Signs Express (who are re-wrapping the existing large monoliths). Please also note a new zonal map has been produced as part of the project. Click here to download new zonal map.

Most of the construction work to install chevron paving to the circumference of the roundabout has been complete, as has the preparation for the public art. We have used worked alongside SSE Lighting contractors to make use of road space booking that they would have used anyway for the work they need to but we appreciate the traffic management solution has caused some disruption. The last part of the project to install the public art and complete the landscaping is planned to happen sometime in June. Material delays and construction design challenges have delayed this final element. We will provide more detail once it is available.
