BID Executive Director Writes to Minister re. Business Rates

BID Executive Director Writes to Minister re. Business Rates

Steve Sawyer, Executive Director of the BID, has written to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government in relation to the Business Rates bills that businesses will receive in April based on the recent revaluation conducted by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).

In total, the Business Rates revaluation means an increase in contributions from our District of more than £1.8m (c11%) per annum.

This will mean 315 (44%) of businesses in Manor Royal will contribute an additional £3.47m in business rates. For some businesses (122) this equates to an increase of between 10-20%. 49 businesses will experience a rise of between 20-30% and a further 28 will see their rates bills increase by between 30-40%.
